Hearing His voice
I have heard people say that they cannot hear Jesus’ voice or that the Lord does not speak to us with an audible voice. But He does speak!
All through the Bible God spoke with an audible voice. He spoke then and He speaks now.
For the Lord is never changing.
Malachi 3:6 says,
"For I, the Lord do not change;…
I truly believe to hear His voice we must have a desire to hear Him and ears willing to listen.
I would like to share with you some of the times, when I heard His voice.
"It will never be received until it is asked"
When I heard His voice speak these words, it was after a telephone conversation with my sister. At the time my sister was telling something that she was going through and I wanted to give her godly advice to help her through but she did not want to hear what I was trying to share with her. Needless to say the conversation turned lifeless and ended, with her hanging up the phone on me. As I sat on the edge of my bed feeling disappointed, I heard the Lord say, Kelly you know, she never asked. I replied you are right she didn’t ask.
Then the Lord said to me, it will never be received until it is asked!
This is so true, nothing is received until we ask and nothing is found until we seek and doors are not opened until we knock!
Matthew 7:8 says
"For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it shall be opened"
"Watch your head!"
One night at the dinner table I was listening to a family member talk about their beliefs and their religion. As, I was listening to their words, words that I didn’t believe for myself, I nodded my head forwards and back as if I were saying "yes".
Then I heard the Lord say "watch your head"!
When I went home that evening thinking about what the Lord had told me, He explain to me about, being careful of what I agree with and what I agree with someone else.
Let me explain, the Lord was telling me that even though I did not say "yes" verbally, I was saying "yes" nonverbally (with my head). He was telling me to be careful in my conversation with others on what I agree and what I don’t agree.
Matthew 18:18 says
"Truly, I say to you whatever you shall bind on earth shall be bound in heaven; and whatever you loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven"
"It is not where you live but how you live"
Just recently the Lord, spoke these words to me.
It is not WHERE you live but HOW you live! It doesn’t matter where we live but rather how we live and how we live for the Lord that is most important!
Luke 9:58
And Jesus said to him, "The foxes have holes, and the birds of the air have nest, but the Son of man has nowhere to lay His head."
